ENGINEERING FEATURES OF GILBERT TUNING MACHINES
A precise phosphor bronze roller gear eliminates backlash and reduces wear for longer life. Precision stainless steel worms eliminate backlash, reduce wear, and remain free from corrosion. The worm carrier slide is molded with polyphenylene sulfide and a Teflon mixture to ensure precise tolerances and lubrication. A one piece machined roller-gear-and-shaft does away with the gear retaining screw and eliminates the lash in the gear-to-roller shaft connection. Rollers made of Delrin provide durability at roller-to-plate interface and at wood-to-roller interface. The mounting plate also has Delrin bearings for the roller shaft which eliminates lubrication and results in a longer life. Tuners are guaranteed against mechanical failure for a period of five years |
